With the steady increase of mobile devices with internet capability, it only makes since to adjust a website to comfortably fit a mobile device. That is, unless you have a device like the iPhone that does not need such a conversion. MoFuse is a new service in which many publishers may be interested. MoFuse stands for “Mobile Fusion” and it enables you to create a mobile version of your website.

Like Feedburner for your mobile, all you need to do is provide your RSS feed and then MoFuse automatically converts it to a mobile version. Also like Feedburner, MoFuse is starting by targeting blogs. Unfortunately, MoFuse is an invite-only service (as of now) but I was able to get myself an invitation to tell you all about it. MoFuse mobile conversions show a simple layout, but it includes important images and neatly displays content for reading on a mobile device. In essence, MoFuse cuts out all unnecessary images, formats the text for mobile, makes it easily navigatible, and generally presents a much better reading experience for mobile devices. Your personal dashboard gives you stats on visitors for the last 24 hours, 30 days, and all time. The interface is sleek and very easy to use.

MoFuse is still in early beta, but looks pretty promising and a very useful tool for bloggers. Winksite is another service similar to MoFuse, so there is a competitor. I am not sure if there are any other services out there, but I would imagine there will be. Feedburner has all the necessary materials to create such a similar service.
