For someone who studies animation and works in the film department, one would expect me to care about movies a lot more than I actually do. With that being said, choosing to give Criticker a shot was a rather painful decision, but getting started with it was relatively painless.

Criticker.com is a community for ranking and recommending films to others. Once you find and confirm that you’ve seen a movie on Criticker you can give it a ranking from 0 to 100. As you continue to rank films, everything you’ve seen will be categorized into eight tiers with Tier 1 being your least favorite films and Tier 8 being the ones you found to be awesome. After rating at least ten films your Taste Compatibility Index (TCI) can be generated; this allows you to find the users whose tastes are most similar to yours—the lower the TCI, the more you have in common. In addition to ranking films you can leave mini-reviews and recommendations, or discuss things in the forum. You can choose to have Criticker send you recommendations and notices about new films. The more you rank, the better Criticker will be able to match you up with compatible films and people.
