Ebay on your desktopb

So normally I don’t get very excited when ebay comes out with something new. After all they have shown very little real innovation and most of their up grades have been geared more towards getting you to buy or sell more stuff. However this newest addition to the ebay family for lack of a better term ROCKS!

It could be just me but I find this application a wonderful tool. Now for the first time I don’t have to be logged into ebay to enjoy all that makes ebay such fun. Now just by simply clicking on the icon on my desktop toolbar I can launch ebay desktop and start doing everything I could do on ebay without having to actually having to visit the site itself. I mean it too, I can do everything from my desktop that I could do while using ebay online plus some.

I am sure someone is scratching their heads and thinking to themselves if it only does what the site already does then what is the point. To tell the truth I kinda wondered the same thing until I started playing around with it. First the desktop function runs a lot quicker than the website, it will search and display what you are looking for a lot faster. Second it appears that it keeps track of your auctions live, meaning no more constant reloading as the desktop program keeps a live track. The final thing that sold me on this program was the fact the desktop program just looks better than the website. So while it may not be the greatest thing since sliced bread, ebay desktop is certainly worth checking out.
