Becker Vision Pro 7985
The Becker Vision Pro 7985 offers a touch screen interface along with DVD playback. This portable media player comes with a 7″ 16:9 TFT display claimed by the manufacturers to be the first of it’s kind, which should be good for four hours of continuous DVD playback, static images, MPEG-1 to MPEG-4, DIV-X, XVID, AVI and SVCD video on its big screen.
The Pro 7985 allows you to play back MP3 audio and videos using either SD card, Memory Stick or a USB thumb drive along with a DVD or CD along with DVB TV and radio stations via its built in tuner. It also sports some built in speakers and a headphone jack, A/V jacks.
Becker are a well respected European in-car electronics manufacturer and I will be interested to see how this particular gadget is received in the US. I have a feeling it’s going to run into the brick wall called the MTube, but we shall see.
I am guessing a price of around $700, but I also have a feeling the price point will be determined by outside forces. What will Apple be coming out with? I hear rumors of a similar device to be launched December? You heard it here first.
