Most expensive MP3 player?
Gresso’s collection of ultra-exclusive MP3 players is aimed solidly at customers who demand the ultimate in craftsmanship and unusual design - and who don’t care how much it costs. Four Symphonia models will be released in 2007, all made from some combination of Blackwood, White Gold, and/or Pink Gold, and all with the same ancient Blackwood and 18 carat gold in each case. Prices will range from $4000 to $6500.
If that seems like an awful lot of money for an MP3 player, just remember that there is a limited amount of African Blackwood available and there aren’t many MP3 players out there made with gold.
All models of the Gresso Symphonia Collection have the same tetrahedral case, which measures a diminutive 39 x 39 x 10.5 mm, allowing the device to be worn as jewelry, should you so desire. In “real money” the measurements equate to 1 ½ inches by 1 ½ inches by 1/3rd inch, or about the same size as a box of matches.
The keyboard has a special, patented, scratch-resistant covering which the company claims is as hard as diamond. The figures and letters on the keyboard are cut by an ultra-precise laser. At least they shied away from Roman numerals, unlike their range of phones. The Gresso Symphonia range comes with built-in FM tuner and a measly 1 Gb of internal flash memory, and supports MP3, WMA, ASF and OGG music formats. Anyone buying one of these is likely buying it for show rather than as a serious MP3 player. Let’s face it, this thing makes just about any other MP3 player on the market seem cheap. The full specs are available here. But anyone in the market for a less expensive alternative can look here:

Again Mark my buddy, you have found something that is almost beyond description. However I must give them thumbs up on creativity, the things look sweet.

Aren’t they awesome? But $6500 for an MP3 player. Geez, it makes me realise how broke I really am.
