Blackberry 88204
What with all the attention the iPhone has been getting recently, it’s been easy to overlook the fact that Blackberry recently launched the 8820. While it doesn’t have the iPhones spectacular looking touch screen interface, this is one impressive smart phone. Included in the capabilities are: GPS, Wi-Fi support, BlackBerry® Maps, a multi-media player, expandable memory, Voice dialling and trackball navigation. It also offers email and text messaging (SMS and MMS), instant messaging, organizer, web browser and a whole host of advanced phone features.
Here’s a list :
Wi-Fi
Email and Text Messaging
Instant Messaging
Browser
Organizer
Advanced Phone Features
Voice Dialling (VAD)
Multi-Media Player
GPS
BlackBerry Maps
Expandable Memory
TrackBall
Set-up Wizard
High Capacity Battery
If that wasn’t impressive enough on it’s own, the general consensus is that this is a well built well designed workhorse rather than a pretentious must-have . I like it; it’s ruggedly constructed, makes sense, and has a no-nonsense approach. The trackball works well and I see this as the sort of phone that’s not going to go out of fashion, because it never was in fashion in the first place.
