FilmCrave is a Website that allows wannabe movie critics to create longs lists of movies which they’ve seen and order them in regards to favorites. You earn points based on how many lists you create and the size of movie reviews that you write. However, don’t bother writing movie reviews unless you are good at it. FilmCrave has a site disclaimer that states that they might remove your review if it isn’t useful, contains offensive content and/or contains false information.

You are also able to make friends on FilmCrave. Once you’ve established a friendship, you can chat and recommend movies to your pals. There is an interesting FilmCrave members sections that you can strive to be a part of if you wish.

Members are ranked on a point scale, based on how active individual members are. You begin as an “Aspiring Actor” and you can advance yourself all the way to “Movie God” and each higher rank comes with more benefits. The benefits of ranking the highest have not been announced yet. I’m not sure how many people will actually get there because you must have over 5,000 points to be a “Movie God” and all you get is the satisfaction of being at the top.

FilmCrave is a good idea and the site is put together rather well. All lists are viewable and you are able to add movies from anyone’s list to your own list, which makes putting lists together much easier than trying to think of every movie you’ve ever watched. They also feature upcoming movies which I think will make FilmCrave a hot target for preview advertisements. Check out FilmCrave.
