Next Generation Social Networking

Posted on 27 November 2007 by Nion

Social networking can be as meaningful as the user is willing to make it, or as meaningless as a folder full of spam. MyLifeBrand, not to be confused with My Life Organized, aims to become the next generation of social networking. Equipped with the essentials of any social networking site as well as the ability to access your existing MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, or other social accounts, MyLifeBrand might do just that.

The default communities on MyLifeBrand are age based—Generation X for those who are 25-40 and Generation Y for those who are 18-24. You can add a personal and business profile for yourself, as well as define your inspirations, designs, goals, and favorite things. MyLifeBrand hosts community challenges and allows users to keep track of their friends and communities, as well as media and various other things they follow on the Internet.

Now, as I’ve stated before, I’m not big on social networking, especially if I can’t see any really significant reason behind it, but with growth, MyLifeBrand seems to have to potential to be quite valuable in building and maintaining business relationships amongst artists and companies. It will probably have to experience a significant influx of active users to really start showing some impressive results—one look at the US map yields a countable number of users, indicating that several of the people who have joined haven’t really gotten involved in the community at all.

Overall, it’s really difficult to say for sure how MyLifeBrand will turn out at this point in time, but I think it’s definitely worth watching; we never know which social network is going to hit it big next. Learn more about this one at www.mylifebrand.com.
