Nuke adware with ad aware

Have you ever wanted to scream and fury and chuck your computer out the window? I know I have and the main reason is generally because of either 1: slow performance or 2: an inability to access even minor programs. I used to have a major problem with both of these and have taken measures from reformatting my computer to just buying a new one (eh it was old anyways), however I could of avoided both of these had I been aware of the insidious thing known as spyware. Spyware is basically a program which embeds itself on your computer and either tracks your web browsing, or hijacks your browser to direct it to any number of sites. While this is annoying, the true danger is that if not caught soon enough eventually you can have so much spy ware on your computer that the thing becomes pretty much useless.

The good news is that while you may feel a need to just huck your current computer into the trash and be done with it all, a simple downlaod of any anti spyware program can save you both time and money. While there are many spyware programs available, and most of them do a good job, my personal favorite is Ad-Aware. I know that there are probably some super elite computer users out there that will tell you that Ad-Aware is trash, but ever since I have started using it I have had almost no problem with either adware or spyware and feel it is a good program.

I am sure that if I wanted too I could tell you all the technical terms of how ad aware tracks down and kills your adware and spyware, but I really don’t have that much motivation and am not sure many people would find that interesting. With that idea here is what I really like about Ad aware. First it is super easy to use, I just click a couple buttons and bang, the scan starts, then after a few minutes it spits out a report that tells me how many spyware files it found, I push the delete button and am done. Second while there is a paid version of the program, the basic program is free and seems to do just fine. Third I can use other programs while scanning for spyware, and that is a good thing considering I am almost always doing something with my computer.

If for some reason you don’t have any kind of spyware protection on your computer, I highly suggest getting ad aware today it is worth the download. You can get a free version of Ad aware for free here.
