Asus G1S CRYSIS notebook
The more I see ASUS’ products, the more I like this company. They seem determined to break into new markets and are not afraid to try something a little off-the-wall.

The latest offering from ASUS is the CRYSIS Limited edition G1S, which has generated a slew of home-made promotional videos by computer gamers in lust with their new toy. There is a sample at the bottom of this post. With specifications including, but not limited to:
Processor & Cache Memory - Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7500 2.2 GHz, 800 FSB, 4MB L2 Cache Operating System
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Chipset - Intel® PM965
Main Memory - DDRII 667MHz, up to 4GB
Display - 15.4″ WSXGA+ (Glare) (1680*1050)
ASUS Direct Messenger for In-Game system information
Video Graphics & Memory - NV 8600MGT 256MB (GDDRIII) (DX10)
Hard Drive - SATA 80/120/160/200 GB
Optical Drive - 8x Super-Multi DVDRW Dual layer with Light Scribe
Card Reader - MMC, SD, MS, MS-Pro
It’s an extremely impressive piece of equipment. But this thing uses more power than a Chevy Suburban pulling a trailer load of logs up a steep, muddy hill, so I’m not really sure why anyone would want a gaming laptop this powerful. You are going to need to be within three feet of a power outlet at all times, so you might as well buy a desk top and save yourself some money.
