It’s practically FREE. You only need to pay for a registered version if you need: 1) text recognition off images, 2) text recognition of handwritten digital ink, 3) recognition of free drawn shapes, 4) synchronization on multiple computers.

The fully functional note taking product itself is FREE!

It is the best of the best that you can get it either free or paying few dollars for the benefit of synchronization and air search. I can’t imagine my life without it. It is fast, pretty, and highly productive tool. Although I use a slightly older version, I am ready to pay any thing to have it everyday in my both work and personal life. I have seen One Note but Evernote I believe is a much better product.

I used to use one note quite a bit actually but I got to say evernote won me over. I don’t both are real kick ass apps

I personally use microsoft onenote which I think KICKS ass. I can’t imagine living without it… But I might give evernote a try.
