Spokeo Finds Your Friends

So I’ve already more than sung the praises of Bubbletop as a great way to organize and save time in your online life, but what about all those social networks that you still have to keep up with? Spokeo takes things a step further by allowing you to keep track of updates on your favorite social networks from one place.

Spokeo is a friend tracker (also known as a social graph reader) that preceded OpenSocial and quite a few other open social graphs. It allows you to track updates from over 30 networks such as MySpace, regional networks like Wretch, and specialized networks such a deviantART and Pandora. Once you’ve signed up, all you have to do is allow Spokeo to import your address book and it will find your friends profiles for you. You can also import from the networks themselves or manually add friends to your list.

What I love about Spokeo is the fact that in addition to supporting networks that I actually use (not just the grossly popular ones), Spokeo also has all the convenience of my favorite RSS tracker, so I really can keep track of all my favorite sites from one place. On top of that, the Spokeo team actually responded to every bit of feedback I’ve sent within 24 hours.

Spokeo recently went into closed beta, and I ran into quite a few bumps when initially trying to get everything set up, but it mostly runs pretty smoothly. Getting an invite is fairly easy, and I definitely would recommend doing so. Learn more about Spokeo at www.spokeo.com.
