A 3.5 inch monitor adorns the front panel allowing you to watch DVDs as you drive down the road. I can’t decide whether that’s a good idea or not – let me think: being able to watch DVDs as you drive? - Yup, sounds perfectly reasonable to me. And how I ever managed without gold plated video output terminals, I’ll never know.

Of course, no one would buy this just because it has Bluetooth capabilities and plays DVD-Videos. This forms the basis of a complete in-car entertainment system allowing video monitors to be connected in the back seats while allowing you a private conversation on your phone at the same time. This is a seriously good quality piece of equipment. I’ve owned a few JVCs over the years and always found them well built and tough. Recommended retail is $649.99 but last time I checked, Amazon had a few at a good $200 less than that.

how do I watch videos? I’m getting only sound but no video :(

does hand brake sensor wire which is coming out from the unit has anything to do with it?

yes, the hand break wire signals the stereo that you are parked and safe to watch videos. that’s excelent, but you can just put that wire to ground and video will be always enabled.

Hi guys, I bought a JVC ADV38 recently cuz I had just bought a mobile phone, the Nokia N95 8G, and wanted to use the bluetooth functionality of the ADV38 with the phone. But it doesn’t seem to work….The Bluetooth function on the ADV38 remains greyed out whatever I do. Does any of you know if the phone is not compatible with the car stereo? And if so, is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks in advance for you help!
