Stop Screwing up my Planet !

You’ll never buy another gadget after watching this video. Actually, I doubt that is true, but Free Range Studios are at least attempting to redress the consumer balance a little.

This is their latest release. “The Story of Stuff.” Best described as eco-propaganda, the story of stuff is no fairy tale – they know what they are talking about and present a good, solid argument against our current culture of buy, buy, buy and throw it away. It is of course, the same argument we have heard before, but extremely well presented.

And let’s face it, things seem to have got out of control lately. How many times have you looked at the latest and greatest phone/mp3 player/portable computer and thought maybe this was a new model just for the sake of a new model?

So, here’s a snippet from their new mini-movie. It’s educational and unfortunately true. Whether this is enough to prevent us disappearing up our own consumerism is another matter, but it’s good to see someone trying. I leave you to make your own judgment.
