iRiver Spinn

iRiver’s latest addition to their range looks to be a killer new toy. Portable Media Players have a few years life left in them I believe. Sooner or later of course, the all-singing, all-dancing UMPCs or iPhone clones will put them out of the picture, but for now, they are good.

This one looks really rather clever. The player is hinged to allow access to two different panels, effectively doubling the size of the player without making it any bigger.

This one features a 3.3 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480×272. It supports audio and video files ( at 30fps ) , has a built-in FM radio and will allow you to receive DNB TV. It’s Bluetooth 2.0 compatible and will be replacing the popular D-Click.

No word on pricing or availability yet, but I would guess at around the same price as an iPod – I certainly like the look of this one and can’t wait to get my grubby little paws on it. Once again, it is hard to resist the temptation to call any new PMP an iPod killer, but whio knows?

As and when we have pricing and availability we will be announcing it here. Watch this space.
